One-Liner Recommendations has created a new category for recommendations in an effort to streamline the process and fulfill the original vision of WEEKLY recommendations. The “One-Liner Recommendations (Twitter)” note will help folks track down recommendations within the blog that first appeared on Twitter, but that might have slipped by.

The first One-Liner Recommendation for 2014 is: THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE by Charles Johnson. Johnson is more well-known for MIDDLE PASSAGE, a novel that won the U.S. National Book Award. ¬†However, THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE is a worthy collection that was itself a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award in 1987.
